1. a sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations.
I would prefer to insert myself right into Saved By The Bell, or Clueless, or Drive Me Crazy, or Model Behavior. LIKE, DO YOU REMEMBER THAT MOVE??? Loved it. So good. Also look at Zack’s shoes in this picture. They’re like a thick, fluffy pillows. And then there’s Kelly looking classy as ever.
But the real point of this post is to say that there are more to the 90’s/early 2000s besides *NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys. (Sometimes I have to remind myself of this because I’m a diehard *NSYNC fan. I still remember FORCING my mother to go get their “Celebrity” album at Shopko. I was such a brat. There was no option, I had to have it. The day it came out. How rude of me. But also, *shrug emoji* I AM WHO I AM.
All that to say, these are songs you’ve probably heard in some of those classic movies. Or at the pool while you drank Surge before it was ILLEGAL and ate a Chico stick or WonderBall. Unless you were born in 1998, in which case IDK, SRY.
I could’ve went crazy with this playlist but I kept it to 31 songs, you’re welcome. You won’t find “Hit Me Baby… One More Time,” you’ll find “Lucky” (!!!). My fav Janet Jackson song ever is one here, along with a classic Mandy Moore song. Her pre-This Is Us
days are actually my favorite. Who wasn’t obsessed with A Walk To Remember?
Without further ado! Cheers. Enjoy, follow, share, whatever!
